Hadrian Micciche20,993All of my posts today are shared from some of the people I follow. They may not have me in their circles, but I don't care. I want to see what they post and almost always find it informative and entertaining. These select few are in this circle.People who have either shared my posts, commented on them, or both, are also included. These are people who have engaged with my content and are likely to do the same for you. All of these folks are worthy of being added to your circles.Want to be added ? I don't do the typical "plus, comment, and share this circle" circle jerk. You know, of course, that folks always include themselves in a shared circle. I don't need you to indiscriminately promote me by sharing this circle. Just share or comment on any post of mine you find worthy and you'll be added to my circles. Offer void where prohibited by you posting:1. Only shares of other people's posts. I need to see original content, please.2. Blind links AKA link litter -- that is, not providing any commentary with your posts.3. Too many cat pictures -- if only done sparingly and other posts are informative and entertaining, no problemo.4. Too many pictures of your lunch, your overstarched shorts, or other inanities. That's what Facebook is for. :)5. Too many memes.6. Too many cat pictures. 7. Too many cat pictures.(Did I mention cat pictures?)8. Slurs or slander about LGBT folk, racism, sexism...9. Mistaking your fears for reality.10. Mistaking reality as a left-wing conspiracy.Yes, I'm a picky SOB --  but know this. None of the people in this circle do any of that stuff. Want to add people who have been vetted, have engaging content, and will engage with yours? Add this circle. 2014-07-13 16:53:56216223

Hek Waves2,022It's quite a while ago, since +Barbara BM shared this amazing circle of artists, art lovers and art sharers. Now, since I've "used" this circle for a few moths, I think, it's worth to reshare it - extended with a couple of art loving friends from my own circles. Thanks to Barbara - please drop a commend if you can provide an update to this splendid circle.2013-10-14 16:53:18457649
Luis Roca5,744Art & Design Distilled on Google+ — This is your concentrated dose of visual goodness made up of artists, designers and art bloggers for September. Enjoy*Note: I'm always looking for profiles consistently posting fantastic art & design work. Feel free to mention one or two you think I'm missing in this group. Keep in mind this is a focused cross-section.Quality > QuantityLuis #sharedcircles   #circlesharefriday   #art  2013-09-06 14:10:4450028
Luis Roca5,477I've adjusted the Art + Design Distilled Circle with some significant changes, removing a few pages that posted redundant content and a few sharers who — um, we'll simply say it turns out they have an overly broad definition of art when it comes to the nude female. — Several fantastic artists and writers on the visual arts have been added. It's Art + Design Distilled on Google+.#TGIF everyoneLuis #sharedcircles   #circlesharefriday   #art   #design   #graphicdesign   #painting   #ns  2013-08-16 14:06:4453316
Luis Roca5,101Art + Design Distilled on Google+ has been slightly modified. There are one or two additions but will always stay around this size as some profiles may drop off in activity and with that, I'll move them out of the circle while I continue looking for new ones to add. This way when I share it every few weeks, it will always be a circle that consistently provides good work and discussions.Enjoy and Happy Friday everyone.Luis#circleshare   #sharedcircles   #art   #design   #graphicdesign  2013-08-02 14:25:2858115
Luis Roca4,937Art + Design Distilled on Google+ is a dense slice of some of the best artists, curators and active commenters of the visual arts.On Wednesday I posted a small circle I have enjoyed for a long while and asked for help to make it better. A few people came up with great suggestion and circles. Those suggestions led me to thousands of profiles I was reviewing up until early this morning to create this circle.I kept it smaller than most other circle shares but incredibly varied with a focus on quality streams and discussions. There are familiar faces and pages that have been circled by over a million people alongside artists that have been hooped less than five hundred times. This process ended up being far more rewarding than I could have imagined. I never created a circle like this to share and really regret not doing it sooner. I have met so many great creative people and added them to my circles. To all of you who recently circled me: Hello :)Enjoy the great visuals in your streams and Happy Friday everyone.Luis #sharedcircles     #sharedcircle     #art   #design  2013-07-19 13:22:1253233

In "The Return of Bruce Nauman's Bouncing Balls," Francesco Vezzoli casts porn star Brad Rock in a reprisal of a video by conceptual artist Bruce Nauman. As Nauman's work was itself an ironic reference to his earlier film "Bouncing Two Balls Between the Floor and Ceiling with Changing Rhythms" (1967-68) Vezzoli's sweeping skyline and Mozart soundtrack make his video a remix twice removed—a glamorous and satirical twist on Hollywood techniques.

Alberto Giacometti began sculpting tall, thin figures like "Tall Figure II" and "Tall Figure III" as an expression of his perception of the nature of the figure, as well as an articulation of postwar existentialism and horror:

Low Concept is the Berlin-based duo formed by acclaimed electronic producers Ville Haimala of Renaissance Man and Daniel Fisher of Physical Therapy. For "Bugz," the title track of their debut EP, Haimala designed a scale model of a nightclub and filled it with 200 beetles. It's an animalistic perspective on nightlife, delivered from the point of view of the DJ.

Steve McQueen: Drumroll, a selection of works by the British artist and Oscar-winning filmmaker, comes to a close this weekend. "Raising questions about neglect, liminality, loss, and what it means to be human, the work on view here is as relevant and poignant as ever," writes Hyperallergic. See it at MOCA Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, open until 6 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

“Andy Warhol's Shadows are the line between the American dream and the American death. They are as dark as they are glamorous; they are as meditative as they are explosively hallucinatory; they are mourning mirrors with no reflections; they are a long film strip of serial images that evoke experimental film and the drones of the Velvet Underground. They are visual music..." —MOCA Director Philippe Vergne
